📘 Group vs Visitor — Setup Guides

Quick step-by-step instructions for both flows

🤔 Which one do I need?
Use GROUP if:
  • You have regular employees / students
  • You need salary, leave, shift management
  • You need audit-grade per-person reports
  • Each person should have their own QR
Use VISITOR if:
  • You receive temporary guests / clients
  • You want a digital reception register
  • You need quick sign-in with no signup
  • One shared QR for all visitors
💡 Pro tip: Most offices use BOTH — Group for staff, Visitor for outsiders.

How to set up GROUP (employees / students)

  1. Step 1. Go to the home page → tap the Group tab.
  2. Step 2. Tap "➕ Create Group". The 5-step setup form opens.
  3. Step 3. Pick an Admin QR (yours), give the group a name (e.g. "Office Mumbai"), choose a category, set the location + radius (geo-fence).
  4. Step 4. Add members — each member needs their own unique QR code.
  5. Step 5. Members scan their QR daily to clock-in / clock-out. Reports auto-generate monthly.
  6. Step 6. Use Leave Management, Shifts, Holiday Calendar to handle exceptions.

How to set up VISITOR (reception / guests)

  1. Step 1. First create a Group (any group works as the visitor host). Skip this if you already have one.
  2. Step 2. Open the group → it generates a unique Visitor QR code for that group.
  3. Step 3. Print / display the Visitor QR at your reception, meeting room, or anywhere guests will scan it.
  4. Step 4. Visitor scans → form opens (name, phone, purpose, signature) → submits = clock-in recorded.
  5. Step 5. When the visitor leaves, they scan the same QR again → "Clock Out" appears → tap to log out.
  6. Step 6. Reception can also manually clock-out anyone from the admin Visitor Management dashboard.
  7. Step 7. All visits show up in the Reports page under "Visitor Log" with stats and per-day breakdown.
📍 Note: Visitor QR is location-independent — you can take it to a hotel meeting, conference, customer site, or trade show. It works anywhere.
